Luna is a beautiful, “full-figured” Weimaraner who came to us this week from the South Los Angeles shelter after she found herself facing euthanasia simply due to space constraints at the shelter!  She was an owner surrender at the shelter, and we are not sure why, because once you meet Luna, you’ll quickly see that she is a FAMILY dog, full of love and affection and absolute goofiness!  Even after being abandoned by her family at a scary dog shelter, she doesn’t seem to be too stressed — seems she knows there’s a new and better life for her right around the corner!  Besides her overzealous love for food and treats, she is in generally good health.  We did find a 1-inch-sized growth on her back leg/foot which we will have assessed to find out what that is and then will have it surgically removed.  She was dog tested at the shelter and passed with flying colors, and she’s been great with everyone she’s met (humans and dogs alike) at our adoption center.  We thank the volunteers of South LA shelter who networked, advocated, and TRANSPORTED her to our rescue and to save her life!  She is approximately 7 years young, 65-70 lbs, and has the silliest, funniest, and loving personality!  Looking for an instant trail/hiking dog and/or family dog?  Don’t miss meeting Luna!
