Indy is a sweet and calm dog with nice manners. He is curious and interested in new sights and sounds when out and about. His little nub is always wagging! Balls are his favorite thing, and he loves to snuggle as well. We think he would do great with children 7 and up. He is totally house trained.

With our trainer, Indy was happy to trade toys for a small treat and quickly began to respond to a Drop command. He is resistant to the crate so we are taking it slow. Indy knows Sit, but is still learning to do it around distractions. He responds well to slip lead pressure on walks. 

He used to live with a mini schnauzer and had no issues there. He has also met other dogs while out and about with his foster mom and has done well, though he can be overwhelming with little dogs. Indy also has a history of dog selectivity so any introductions should go slowly.

Indy has a tendency to guard his person and his space, which contributed to his surrender to us. His foster is working with him on it, but we recommend a savvy owner who will continue working to correct this behavior
