Meet Dozer! Dozer is a sweet Boxer boy that came to LCAL after being found under a Bulldozer by a local family. Dozer has been friendly with other dogs since he arrived and really enjoys snuggling for a good pet. The second you stop, he will push his head into your lap to try to get more attention. When he first arrived at LCAL, Dozer was fearful and had his tail tucked most of the time; but now he is a happy and excited boy who wags and prances for his breakfast in the morning. Our kennel supervisor also reported that he just recently started picking up toys and carrying them around the rescue. To her it was a true test that he was beginning to feel comfortable and safe. Any family would be lucky to adopt Dozer. His big head and eyes will have you swooning at first sight.

Dozer will need a family that will work on basic obedience with him but his behavior despite not knowing many commands is VERY manageable. Dozer does appear to be house-trained. Dozer does have some on-going medical concerns that we are addressing including a heart murmur. Dozer is available to go home but the adopter will be expected to bring him back for his echocardiogram in November so we can determine his long-term health needs.
