Dulce is an Old English Bulldog and Frenchie mix that came to LCAL when she was very overwhelmed by the shelter environment. Dulce is a sweet little girl who loves pets and scratches from her people. Indoors she can be high energy, loving, and playful. Initially Dulce can be timid and has some fears that we believe come from her life before LCAL. These fears can include going on walks and experiencing the big world. She is much more fearful outdoors where there are lots of sounds and people than she is indoors. She will need someone who can be patient with her as she learns to trust them and feels safe to be out in the world. In order to avoid these fears, Dulce will lay down and refuse to budge, which will require a companion with some patience. Dulce does well with other dogs, especially indoors where she feels safest.

Dulce was diagnosed with bilateral cherry eye which has been successfully repaired. She will require ongoing eye drops to continue to ensure the health of her eye. She does well with letting someone give her these drops daily. She will need a home that can provide her a confident companion to train her and help her feel more comfortable.
