Gertie

Breed: Doberman
Age: 1 year
Size: 50 lbs
Health: Receiving treatment for a non-contagious skin issue, to be spayed prior to adoption

Ideal Match: A home with a yard, willing to continue her training to build her confidence

Personality:

Gertie is sweet, loving, friendly and smart. She is a young 1-year-old and still has a lot of puppy in her. She will need basic training to learn her commands and manners. She appears dog selective. She does well with other dogs with a proper introduction, but has reacted to other dogs on walks if she feels insecure. This is why building her confidence with training and boundaries will help set her up for success.

Gertie lays at her foster mom’s feet most of the day as she works from home. Her foster mom is working on house training and crate training with her. Gertie is a typical Dobie in that she’s very alert to what’s going on outside her apartment.

Gertie came to us with treatable, non-contagious demodectic mange and irritated paws. She is now receiving the treatment she needs and will be ready for adoption soon.
