Meet Sweet Ginger!

This is Ginger’s second time at LCAL. You might remember her incredible transformation during her first stay with us.  She had a rather large benign cyst on her forehead that we had removed.  It took some delicate surgical work and a lot of sutures, but following removal, it made a big difference in her appearance. After she recovered from that surgery, she was adopted by a family that loved her and showered her with toys. Unfortunately due to their circumstances, they can no longer give her the attention she deserves and asked LCAL to find her a family that can.

Ginger is a middle aged boxer girl who is timid at first but once she’s warmed up she is the sweetest girl in the world! Once she earns your trust she loves belly scratches and time to chill with her people. While she was reactive to other dogs when she was with us the first time, her owner reported she was great with other dogs – “warms up to dogs much quicker than to people”.  We will continue to give her chances to show us if she likes being around other dogs now. During her first time with us, she was food protective, but this seems to have subsided now that she has been well fed for quite some time. She would be a great fit for a Boxer loving home who can give her toys and beds to chill on.
