Harley

Breed: Sharpei/Lab Mix
Age: 1 year old
Size: 46 lbs
Health: Healthy, Spayed

Ideal Match: A low-traffic home and children over the age of 13 IF there are kids in the home

Personality:

Harley was one of two dogs that came to us as an owner surrender because her owner was unable to care for her.

When she first came to us, Harley was slow to trust and insecure. It did not seem that she was exposed to new people much in her previous home setting. She needed time and patience to slowly warm up to someone.

LCAL has put in a lot of work with Harley to help her trust others. She now does well with people she meets the first time, and she is even able to attend our events without issue. Once she really knows you, she is all tail wags and happy butts.

Harley would do best in a home with a low amount of people traffic.  Given her wariness of new people, it would also be best that IF there are children in the home, they be 13 years of age or older.

Overall Harley is healthy. She had bilateral entropion (a condition that causes her eyelids to turn inward, rubbing her eyelashes against her eye), but we have since had this surgically corrected with one of our veterinary partners, and Harley has healed well from it.
