Breed: German Shepherd mix
Age: 1 year
Size: 40-45 lbs
Health: Good, finishing recovery from left side pelvic fracture, spayed
Ideal Match: A home looking for an active, playful dog
Curious, interactive, anxious to learn but occasionally head strong, social but a little hesitant at first, playful but able “to chill.” These are just a few ways of describing Jess. She has been with us for a couple of months, recovering from a pelvic fracture which was believed to have been the result of being hit by a car. She underwent surgery to place a plate and screws in the left side of her pelvis and things have healed well. Recent X-rays revealed all to look good and she has been cleared to gradually return to full activity.
She is house trained, crate trained, dog friendly and people friendly. She has not been exposed to cats while in her foster home so we do not know how she would be with them. She is eager to learn and has a good start on basic obedience training. She still has a lot of puppy in her and can be a little mouthy when playing. As a result, she would probably do best in a home with children over the age of 12.
If you are looking for a wonderful, fun, medium-sized companion, this girl might just be the one for you!
