Jimmy

Sex: Male
Breed: Doberman
Age: 10 months
Size: 70-75 lbs
Health: Good, neutered

Ideal Match: A strong handler committed to training and exercising Jimmy to help him be the best dog he can be!

Personality:

Jimmy is in many ways your typical doberman. Regal yet goofy. Strong yet gentle. Protective and affectionate. He is a little shy and can be nervous about new situations (like getting into cars) and tends to lie down if he doesn’t want to do something, but with a little encouragement he is getting braver.

Jimmy has a strong prey drive and does not like little dogs, so he likely wouldn’t do well in a home with cats either. He has only been with us a short time, but has been good with other dogs in our kennel setting. Having a strong leader will give him more confidence. Given his size and youth, he will need an owner committed to training and exercising Jimmy to give him the chance to develop into the wonderful adult dog he is capable of being.

Dobermans with this coloring (called “white Dobermans” or “partial albino Dobermans”) can have photosensitivity issues with their skin or eyes so Jimmy would do best in an environment that would limit his exposure to sunlight. For this reason it doubly breaks our hearts that this young dog was found abandoned in the desert! LCAL has you now, Jimmy, and your forever family will find you soon.
