Kane is a transfer from Animal Friends of the Valleys.  Kane was seen as a stray for at least a week when one of the employees at Animal Friends of the Valleys was finally able to catch him. When his family was finally reached they stated they would not be coming to get him because they were moving into an apartment that would not allow him.

When Kane arrived at Animal Friends of the Valleys, they noticed a laceration on the left side of his hind leg that needed vet attention. They reached out to LCAL so that we could give him the medical attention he needs. He just had his intake exam and his injury is doing great.

Kane is a gorgeous boy. He is a bit shy initially and takes a little time to warm up to staff and volunteers.  Once he warms up, he seeks out more attention. Kane will benefit from a home setting that is patient and allows him to find his comfort zone.  Due to his anxiety and sensitivity to touch, we are recommending a home with kids 13 years old or older. Kane has been dog tested with a large female dog and was neutral to indifferent.  He was more interested in sniffing the room than interacting with her. We will continue to see how he does with the various LCAL dogs.

We are still getting to know Kane, so check back as we add more information about him!
