Meet Norma!

Norma came to us from the Humane Society in Yuma. She is a sweet senior boxer gal with several medical needs being addressed before she is ready for adoption. Her foster mother says she is just a lover, walking up and putting her head in your lap to nicely ask for attention. She does great on car rides and does well with other dogs. She enjoys slow, short walks with her human companion.

During Norma’s medical intake exam she had a very distended stomach which appeared to be holding something like sand or kitty litter in it. With further examination, it was determined she had some type of abrasive sponge or brillo pad that was blocking nearly her entire stomach. She is recovering from the surgery to remove this and enjoying a nice peaceful bed to sleep. As she starts feeling better we will see more of her sweet personality.
