Sweet Lucy Lu came to us with her kennel mate, Dana Linn, right before Christmas of 2016 from the Imperial County shelter.  We found her in a kennel with Dana Linn and two other German Shepherds, and Lucy Lu’s sweet, scared, and soulful eyes looked right at us and said “PLEASE, get me outta here!”   And she joined the other 14 dogs we brought back with us!  She went on a sleepover with a wonderful family, but after a couple weeks of having her in their home, they had to bring her back due to unforeseen medical issues with their mom, which put them in a situation to not be able to give Lucy Lu the proper exercise and attention she would need (and so deserves).  So … she’s back at our adoption center, awaiting a forever family to call her own! She is a Boxer/Lab or Shepherd mix (?), between the ages of 1-2 years young, and weighs approximately 55 lbs.  She is good with all dogs, especially young playful dogs!  She’s been starting to show a little leash reactivity when she sees some dogs, so we are working with her and helping her gain her trust while on leash.  She’s otherwise wonderfully sweet and happy to meet all humans and kids.  Interested in meeting Lucy Lu?  Submit your adoption application online from our website.  More info:  “info@lastchanceatlife.org”
