Prim

Breed: Doberman Pinscher
Age: 1.5 years
Size: 50-55 lbs
Health: Healthy, healed after a car accident, to be spayed before adoption

Ideal Home: An active home with a yard and a preferably a large fur sibling or two

Personality:

Prim came to us as a stray after getting hit by a car and needing medical treatment for her wounds (no fractures, fortunately). She was also pregnant. She went directly into foster for healing, and a week later she gave birth to three puppies. Two male puppies crossed the rainbow bridge early in their young lives. Fly free, sweet Figaro and Galileo. A third female puppy, Maggie (Magnifico), is in foster with her mom and still nursing. She is already adopted, and will move into her forever home once she is 12 weeks old.

Prim is a great mom. She loves to play and do zoomies. She is not aware of her foot placement sometimes and can be a little physically goofy, but it is part of her charm.

Prim is a VERY active dog, and would not do well in an apartment. She would do great in a home with playful dogs her size or larger, a yard to run around in, and a human who likes to take daily hikes, walks, jogs, trips to Fiesta Island, etc. She gets along with all dogs and does love little dogs as well, but she runs right into them when doing zoomies thanks to that physically goofy charm of hers.

With the right training, Prim will be the perfect dog. She walks well on a leash, is house trained, and is crate trained. She is a sweet, affectionate dog overall and will make someone a great companion.

We do not recommend Prim be rehomed with small dogs or small kids because of her energy level. Ages 10+ years old for any kids in the home is our recommendation.
