Scuba
Breed: Potcake
Age: 5 months
Sex: Female
Size: 31 lbs
Health: Good
Ideal Match: A calm, patient and loving household where Scuba can grow into a confident, secure friend to her adopters
Our potcake puppies – Cabana, Coconut, Scuba and Snorkel – came to us from a dog rescue in the Bahamas. The Voiceless Dogs of Nassau works tirelessly to rescue unwanted dogs on the island and we are happy to lend a hand as we work to find homes for each of these special “island puppies”.
Scuba loves to play wit her sister and foster brother and loves to be around people. She has a seemingly endless amount of energy but is relatively calm mannered for being such a young pup.
Scuba is still working on housetraining but is treat motivated which helps a great deal. We have been working on leash work/familiarization with Scuba, and she is doing very well enjoying short walks and sniffing around new environments. Her favorite activities are bounding after tennis balls and chewing on pretty much everything, but particularly her bone and Kong.
She does well in her crate at night however can be a bit outspoken when left there for rest time during the day. She prefers not to be missing out on whatever else is going on around the house.
Scuba is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle up on your lap. We are currently working on the ‘off’ command and keeping all four paws on the ground. This a work in progress, but remember she is a puppy, so love guidance and patience are all critical requirements for the right adopter!
