Simba is an affectionate, playful boy who loves his toys. He knows “sit”, does well on leash, and is housetrained. He is a smart dog who will use his big brown eyes to win you over and then he will take charge of your household. As a result, he needs leadership from the humans in his home or he will realize he can do anything he wants. Fair and consistent boundaries in his home will set the right tone for him to be successful. Things to help with this would be the use of the a crate, not being allowed up on the furniture, and walking at his owner’s side (as opposed to out in front) on the leash. Simba has lived with children but due to his tendency to want to be “the boss”, we would recommend children be at least 13 years old in his home.
