Our potcake puppies – Cabana, Coconut, Scuba and Snorkel – came to us from a dog rescue in the Bahamas. The Voiceless Dogs of Nassau works tirelessly to rescue unwanted dogs on the island and we are happy to lend a hand as we work to find homes for each of these special “island puppies”.

Snorkel is puppy through and through. She has endless energy, loves to run, play and wrestle ALL day and chews everything in her path. She is focusing on leash work, but is still pretty uncertain about it or straying too far from her familiar home area.

Snorkel is pretty attached to her sister, but we continue to work on spending time separated. She does great in the crate – knows “crate up” and will go right in, sit and wait patiently for a treat. She is also doing very well with housetraining and never goes in her crate. She loves all the attention and will gladly give you an ankle nibble if you are not paying her enough mind. She eats well and is pretty gentle taking treats unless she is really wound up which then she’ll jump for them. Her favorite things to do are chew on toys, chew on a large rawhide bone and pull all of the bedding out of her crate, while she is not particularly a fan of bath time.

Snorkel is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle up on your lap. We are currently working on the ‘off’ command and keeping all four paws on the ground. This a work in progress, but remember she is a puppy, so love guidance and patience are all critical requirements for the right adopter!
