Sweet lil’ Babmbi managed to hitch a ride with us on our last visit to the shelter in El Centro/Imperial Valley in mid December. If you’ve ever paid a visit to any of the local shelters, you’ll probably already know that the shelters are full with certain breeds — usually Pit Bulls and Chihuahuas, and they often spend a LONG time there while waiting to be adopted. We picked up 13 dogs that day, and Bambi caught our attention since she was clearly frightened from the noises at the shelter, unsure of what was going on around her. She was super timid when she arrived, but she’s now coming out of her shell and enjoying life at the kennels with a few of her “calmest” little friends, awaiting her own FOREVER home! She loves to be held, loves affection, takes a little time to warm up to you and trust you, but once she does, she is all LOVE! We estimate her age to be around 2-3 years of age, and she weighs around 6-7 lbs. She would do great with older kids, calm dogs, and a soft bed!
