This sweet and timid “low rider” hitched a ride with us from the Imperial County Humane Society at the end of September when we found her in a kennel with several dogs, and her dark, soulful eyes just cried out to us for help.  Martina is a mix of possibly Corgie and combination of another smaller breed.  She’s approximately 20 pounds, and has that beautiful wishbone marking on her face.  She is good with other dogs, but she is shy and unsure of her new surroundings.  She’s been in a foster home since her arrival, and her foster parents say that it took a few hours for her to warm up to them, and now she is glued to them at all times when they’re at home.   She seems to enjoy the company of her foster Boxer mate and Boxer pup foster as well, but she would be fine as an independent companion as well.   She’s wonderful on leash, car rides, and quite affectionate once she warms up to you.  We estimate her age to be somewhere in the 3-4 years range.  Interested in meeting Martina, please contact our adoption coordinators at “info@lastchanceatlife.org”  and submit your online application from this website.
